A new PlayStation studio has reportedly been formed in Los Angeles, working on an unreleased game

A job listing suggests there is a new development studio within PlayStation Studios, based in Los Angeles and focused on new intellectual property. Based on some job listings, it has emerged that a new PlayStation studio has recently been founded, based in Los Angeles and working on an entirely new game, from what can be traced.

The clues are few and vague, but they seem to point to the existence of a new PlayStation Studios team that has not yet been officially announced by Sony, but which is already organizing to expand the staff through a new hiring campaign.

It is precisely from an announcement linked to this need to expand the team that possible information on this mysterious team comes, about which practically nothing is known beyond a couple of details.

The announcement for a producer

The first, in fact, is that it is a studio based in Los Angeles, which is clearly evident from the text of the job ad. From this, we also learn that the team is focused on “triple A” productions and also that at the moment it seems they are developing a game based on a new intellectual property, therefore probably something new and not yet announced.

“We are a newly formed AAA studio based in Los Angeles, led by a team of industry leaders and experienced game developers,” reads the ad seeking a Project Senior Producer to join the team.

“Our mission is to create the next groundbreaking original AAA IP while reimagining the development process with a lean and highly efficient approach. We are looking for talented individuals who share our vision and are eager to join us on this journey.”

We are therefore waiting to find out about this mysterious team and the game they are working on, considering that it could be the studio that Jason Blundell joined after the closure of Deviation Games, a team that was working on a PS5 exclusive in collaboration with Sony.

Update: Its likely that the studio will be headed by Jason Blundell who one of the co-founders of Deviation.
